WinEUR’s Winter update: internet has replaced the CD-Roms ! For the first time in its history, GIT will supply its latest WinEUR update through the internet. If you have no internet connection, please don’t worry :just call our Customer Desk to receive our traditional update by CD-ROM ! We reached this decision in order to preserve the environment; it also is faster, and allows us to be closer to our customers! Our distribution method for updates will be changes in several phases. At first, the usual CDRoms will simply be replaced by downloading the files from our server. Procedure for PCs using Microsoft’s IE navigator 1 – Download the information by clicking on the link supplied in your email. 2 – This will open a small window. 3 – Click on the “Run” key A little application for communicating with our servers will be installed on your PC ; this will automatically start downloading the files containing the update. This background operation will not interfere with your other activity or your internet connection : you may continue to work as usual. While the files are being downloaded, an icon will appear in the task bar in the lower righthand corner of your screen. At the end of this process, a folder showing all the downloaded files will appear. 5 – You may then either run the «Setup.exe» programme directly, or copy the contents of thereof onto a CD-ROM if the installation has to be deferred in time, or if the application needs to be installed on another PC. Updating procedure All GIT’s clients with an unexpired GOLD or GRANITE maintenance contract will receive a personal email with the downloading link The procedure may vary somewhat according to the kind of navigator installed by default on your PC (IE from Microsoft or Firefox).
